Hypnosis is heightened state of receptivity and consciousness  that enables one to easily relax and focus. Some people may find themselves: enveloped in a book, music while driving auto pilot seemingly and have lost track of time ... when one arrives at the desired destination. Most have relaxed with their eyes closed and listened to the sounds/ pink and white noises. For example, the sound of: birds singing, water flowing, trees in the summer wind. Perhaps, people talking, a fan, cenral air, a TV on or even the sound of traffic in the background... and became completely relaxed.  This is an example of hypnosis and the (hypnotic effect) without (hypnotic induction). In your hypnosis experience it will be the relaxing sound of my voice. Hypnosis is a gradual deepening of a sleep like or medatative state. Which uses, very specific scientific modalities proven to achieve a similar state as the aforementioned. This is known as (hypnotic induction.) This is the process undertaken by a professionally trained board certified hypnotherapist to establish the state or conditions required for hypnosis to occur. This is achieved in such a manor that every client stays: awake, responsive and aware of their surroundings.
